KENNEDY/PARKLAND/DOCTORS/DAUGHTER
A riveting behind-the-scenes story of that fateful weekend in Dallas. On November 22, 1963, Dr. M. T. "Pepper" Jenkins, was the Chief of Anesthesiology at The University of Texas SouthWestern Medical School and Parkland Hospital. He led the team to resuscitate President John F. Kennedy, and later worked on both Lee Oswald and Jack Ruby. Miss Jenkins has taken her father's private notes of that compelling weekend and ensuing investigations, and re-created the true story into a fast-paced fact-packed "live documentary," with music, large screen video, and photo stills. Q & A with Christie follows each performance. Click here to see the Poster. Click here to see the list of show cities and dates.

"DanceSport" - feature film script
In 1998 Christie landed George Clooney to play the lead in her original ballroom dance script. Quincy Jones's company came in to produce. Falling apart months later, and not then gaining interest from other companies ("no one will ever go to dance movies again" is what many smart execs predicted), Miss Jenkins kept the script under wraps. Now that she helped start the current dance craze, she has the interest of another star and is seeking funding to self-produce with investors.
Church & Charity
Last year I began a new worship service created for young adults, at the First Christian Church of North Hollywood. A member there for 30 years (while retaining my home membership at Lovers Lane United Methodist in Dallas), I saw the need to outreach to the young Hollywood hopefuls that live in the Studio City area and are unconnected to family and community. First Christian is highly recognizable from its continual use in the TV show 7th Heaven as well as many other series and movies that use its lovely, simple sanctuary. Most of the young adults who attend are between ages 22-35. You are welcome any night at 7:30 pm for this relaxed, quiet, interesting service.

Christie Jenkins Photography
Famous for creating the landmark book BUNS: A Woman Looks At Men's, it and the five BUNS calendars sold over 1 million copies for Putnam, and Christie was credited by NY Literary circles as starting "the women's market in publishing". She later was the most widely published photographer of figure skating in the world, with award winning photos in TIME Magazine. Many of her celebrity portraits appear on the photo site. Gallery show in Los Angeles coming soon.

Dancing With the Stars
was created by Christie Jenkins & TV director Steve Binder in 1997. Her 40-page presentation included a demo reel featuring Evander Holyfield, Tom Bergeron, and Charlotte Jorgenson. They took it first to ABC who didn't believe the concept would be popular (their executives were still highly skeptical when it finally aired in 2005), and other networks were also disbelieving. However Miss Jenkins, who intuitively understands what people want to see next, purchased the broadcast rights in 1994 to both Amateur and Professional DanceSport Championships, and developed a slate of ballroom shows for television.
